- What accommodation do you offer?
- If you don't see availability for the type of accommodation you are interested in, please email as we don't list everything and new allocations may not have been input to the system. At Goldcity there are around 30 different types of accommodation. Broadly speaking there are sea or mountain views for most types of accommodation. Within the hotel are many types of hotel rooms, 7 types of luxury family suites (apartments) which have one, two or three bedrooms. Within Gold Village (grounds of hotel) there are boutique apartments, townhouses (apart-villas) and 5 main types of villa. To simplify the booking process for guests, we have selected our favourite accommodation types and have secured what our customers have said is the best located accommodation. Unlike most other hotels, all of the luxury family suites in the hotel are very spacious, with the added benefit of a small well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher and washing machine. If you are comparing our prices with other providers, please ensure you are comparing 'like for like'. All of our rentals are fully managed by the hotel which entitles you to their many complementary services. There are a few properties being rented by other providers where the rental is not managed by the hotel and therefore the standard services and complimentary facilities mentioned in this web site might not apply. - Which Airport do I fly to?
- Antalya International Airport. Direct flights operate year round (more limited schedule in winter) and currently the following airlines fly from UK arirports – Fly Thomas cook, Thomson fly, Kthy, Monarch, Onur Air (sometimes chartered through companies such as Goldtrail Flight Only), Pegasus, Jet2 (via Avro), British Airways, Turkish Airlines amongst others.
- Can you book my flights?
- We are accommodation only booking agent and for legal reasons can’t arrange or recommend travel. However we can supply you with the names of a couple of ABTA flight agents who know Goldcity and who can arrange the flights for you.
- Do I need a car at Goldcity?
- Most people don’t bother hiring a car as there is complementary service to Alanya and to the beach. Hiring a car for a few days during your stay may be a good idea if you want to explore. Goldcity offer car hire (and an optional driver) and a taxi service.
- How do I get from the airport?
- Various options including car hire and taxi but most Goldcity guests use the hotel’s airport transfer service. You pay the hotel directly for this service on checkout. The price depends on the whether a shared or a private transfer is provided. We send more information with your booking confirmation.
- How far is the private beach?
- Goldcity is set on the side of a mountain overlooking the sea. The private beach is about 10 minutes free shuttle ride.
- What is offered on a complimentary basis?
- Goldcity is a new Resort, launched Easter 2009 and is offering a host of complimentary services . These currently include shuttle to beach and to Alanya, entrance to spa and gym, use of private beach (towels, sunbeds etc), internet café, wifi in hotel lobby, entrance to disco/night club, entertainment, cinema, kids club (under 2s are charegeable) and lots more. These are expected to remain complimentary for the foreseeable future but the hotel does reserve the right to add or remove complimentary services without notice.
- Is My Money Safe With Goldcity UK Sales?
- Yes. All client’s money is paid into an HSBC client account prior to being paid to the hotel. Should our company become insolvent, these funds are protected. There have been recent cases in the press of bogus holiday companies who ask for payment via bankers draft/transfer. Be vigilant. Credit card payments do offer an added level of security although banks usually make a charge for this. Use your common sense. If a company offers you a price which seems too be good to be true, perhaps it is too good to be true!
- Can I have a sea view?
- All of our allocated properties have sea view. If you would like a mountain view please request.
- Are prices very high at Goldcity?
- Goldcity has the policy of pricing restaurants etc at comparable levels with the local town. It is therefore as economical to eat at Goldcity as in the local town. Prices are in Turkish Lira and are extremely favourable when compared to prices in Spain etc. There is a wide range of food available to suite all tastes and budgets. Many of the facilities at Goldcity are complimentary.
- What is the minimum stay/What day must I travel?
- On line bookings currently have a minimum stay of 4 days. If you would like to stay for less then please email us. Any number of days can be booked to fit in with your flight arrangements, and subject to availability you can arrive on any day.
- Which is the best, being in the hotel or Gold Village?
- Swings and roundabouts spring to mind. All accommodation is considered to be of the same standard in terms of quality. If you are staying for a couple of weeks or more and would like to split your stay, for example, hotel apartment for the 1st week, private villa with pool for the 2nd, you will experience the best of both worlds! There is a pick up or bus service around Gold Village so you don't need to walk the hills unless you want to.
- Which should I book first, accommodation or flights?
- Most customers opt for the following sequence.
- Check flight times and availability.
- Check on-line availability of accommodation for chosen dates.
- Book flights first and book accommodation immediately flights are booked. In the unlikely event that after having booked your flights, your chosen accommodation is showing as being no longer available, please call us as we may have additional stock or be able to offer an alternative.
We do also offer a reservation system whereby we will usually 'secure/hold' accommodation without obligation, for up to 24 hours. This service is not available on line.
- Most customers opt for the following sequence.
- What do I do when I arrive?
- If you are collected from the airport by Goldcity you will be taken directly to the hotel for check-in irrespective of whether you have booked a villa, hotel room or apartment. If you are making your own way to Goldcity, you will need to give your name/booking reference at the security gate in order to gain access to the resort. It is useful to have your booking Reservation Id handy anyway. You will then head for the main hotel reception. You may be asked for a credit card swipe at check in.
- Special Requests
- If you have a special request, please contact us and we will do our best to arrange. (Please do this at the time of booking). You can either do this on-line or contact us by email or phone to discuss.
- What is the private beach like?
- Warm waters for much of the year, Goldcity Hotel operated watersports (weather/season permitting) changing facilities, snack bar. Complimentary use of sunbeds and shade. Course sand, clear waters - typical of the Mediterranean.
- What is there to do outside of Goldcity?
- There are lots of places to explore and the hotel Guest Services, or the transport manager will advise on places to visit according to your preferences. Alanya (about 15 mins drive by free scheduled service) is a bustling tourist city with beaches, harbour, historic castle, shops, restaurants and abundant night life. There are caves close by, a canyon, waterfalls, boat trips from the harbour, local markets and much more. This year is the 16th year of the world renowned ballet and opera festival in Aspendos (held June/July) which is easily commutable from Goldcity. Most sports not hosted by Goldcity can also be arranged by the hotel including golf days, diving, white water rafting, cycling etc. There are small towns and villages nearby.
- What nationalities holiday at Goldcity?
- Goldcity attracts guests worldwide.
- Which restaurants do I eat in if I am am half board or full board plus?
- Half board and full board plus guests will take meals in the open buffet restaurant. At quiet times the hotel may designate a restaurant as an alternative to the buffet. Full board plus guests can take one meal during their stay at the World Cuisine or A La Turka restaurant and can choose a 3 course meal from a special menu. Local alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks during meals are included with full board plus. This excludes freshly squeezed juices.
- Will everything be open all year round?
- The resort is open 365 days per year but is expected to be quiet outside of the main season. The Resort will operate services based on demand and therefore guest should expect that not all facilities and services will be available all year round.
- Are there EnglishTV channels?
- There are lots of English TV channels including BBC1 and ITV. Theses include film, sports and documentary channels. There is a free cinema within the hotel, a TV lounge and sports events are sometimes available on big screen.
- Is Goldcity suitable for Disabled Guests/those with mobility problems?
- Goldcity is very hilly! Guests with restricted mobility may find staying within the hotel more convenient than staying in Gold Village (the grounds). Rooms adapted for disabled customers are now available in the hotel. Please let us know of any disability prior to booking. We will describe the accommodation and you can assess its suitability.
- How far from the airport?
- Usually approaching 2 hours depending on traffic.
- Do I need to take anything with me for the hotel rooms/apartment/villa?
- Hotel rooms are fully kitted out as you would expect. All apartments and villas have dishwasher and washing machine but you will need to buy or bring your own washing tablets etc. There is also a chargeable laundry service. Towels, bedding etc are provided in the accommodation although you may wish to take a couple of tea towels. Hotel issued towels need to be used at the Pool/beach and can be borrowed at the hotel or the beach. Hairdryers are available in all hotel apartments and rooms but not in all private villas.
- Do I pay for things on account?
- You will normally settle your airport transfer bill on departure (unless this has been pre-paid). The resort is largely 'cashless' (except for the shops/supermarket where you can use cash if you wish). Restaurant, bars, spa treatments etc will normally be made via a pre-paid cash card which will be issued at reception or you can pay on credit card. You top up your cash card (cash or credit accepted) and then this is used for payment during your stay. It can be topped up at any time and the unused amount will be refunded on request. You can have as many cards as you need, each with their own balance, which is useful for family members. Lost cards should be reported to reception immediately.
- Special Occasions - birthdays, weddings, other celebrations?
- The hotel offers special honeymoon packages. An impressive honeymoon suite can be booked (price on request) or a complimentary honeymoon package can be provided within any accommodation. Please advise at the time of booking. If you would like to celebrate your wedding at Goldcity then the team will do all they can to tailor your special day according to your wishes. Weddings can be accommodated for small or large groups alike. Every wedding is unique and you can have as much or as little involvement in the detail as you please. Please email for more information. If you would like to make any other special request, eg birthday celebration or celebration cake, then we can give you the email address of the hotel guest services who will be happy to help.
- What if something does not work in my villa or there is a problem?
- All accommodation at Goldcity has a direct phone through to the 24 hour reception and there is an on-site maintenance team. If you would like assistance with any problem/queries then please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist.
- What are check-in and check-out times?
- Check in is from 2.00 pm on day of arrival. Check out is 11.00a.m. - If you arrive early and your accommodation is ready (after 11.00 a.m.) you may be allowed early access at no extra charge. If you would like to guarantee early access to your room, or guarantee keeping your room after the standard departure time then you need to pay for an extra night. Alternatively, regarding late stays, if your accommodation has not been rebooked for that day, you can arrange directly with the hotel to keep it (up to late evening) for a fee, which you can arrange and pay for locally.
